Cordova Recreation and Park District (CRPD) hosts the annual Meet the Machines event on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10AM to 1PM. Children of all ages have the opportunity to touch, climb on and explore over 50 machines and unique vehicles. This FREE event allows kids to learn about the vehicles they see on the road and television every day. In addition to machines, children can visit the Kids Zone filled with games, balloon animals and face painting. The first hour and a half of the event is horn-free to accommodate children with special needs and sensitive ears.
Examples of machines and vehicles included at the event are fire trucks, police vehicles, ambulances, tow trucks, a garbage truck, boats, tractors, a school bus, segways, military vehicles, and John Deere equipment.
