Rosemont Community Park Sports Courts

The new sports courts will include pickle ball courts, two tennis courts and a basketball court. CRPD is excited to continue improving Rosemont Community Park through the partnership with the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA).

Timeline & Updates

Winter 2018 – In January, CRPD surveyed the Rosemont community to see what improvements residents wanted to see implemented. Priorities included: Refurbish and provide additional striping on one court for multi-use games, convert one court to basketball and repair existing tennis courts. Our community’s feedback is valued and so we’ve taken these three recommendations into the design scope.

2022 – CRPD was awarded a construction grant from SHRA to renovate the tennis courts at Rosemont Community Park.

Spring 2023 – Anticipated construction to begin.

Federspiel Park Walkway Improvements

Timeline & Updates

January 8, 2023 – The fence surrounding Federspiel Park will be removed today and the community is able to enjoy the new walkway and several improvements! The fence will be stored on the property until the contractor removes it later this week. Due to shipping delays, the final site furnishings which include three benches will be installed once delivered. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to bring these improvements to this park and look forward to celebrating the completion of this project with the community this spring.

November 21, 2022 – We are excited to announce that the improvements at Federspiel Park are almost complete! The concrete walkways and new amenities pads have been completed and tables, bollards and bike racks have been installed. The final site furnishings are anticipated to be completed late 2022/early 2023 and include benches, trash receptacles and a drinking fountain. The fence surrounding the park will be removed once all new park amenities have been installed and inspected for safety.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to bring these improvements to this park and look forward to celebrating the completion of this project with the community.

August 17, 2022 – The District Board of Directors approved a construction contract at their August meeting.

Spring 2021 – It was truly a Community/District team effort and was recommended for funding by City of Rancho Cordova staff at the April 19, 2021 City Council meeting.

Winter 2020 – Cordova Recreation & Park District worked with the Federspiel Park Neighborhood to prepare a grant application to the City of Rancho Cordova’s Community Enhancement Fund Program. The application included over one hundred project-support signatures and support letters from the Sacramento Tree Foundation, the Folsom Cordova Unified School District, the Bicycling Advocates for Rancho Cordova and the It Takes a Lincoln Village neighborhood group.
